In this task you had to add up all the numbers so that it adds up to 15. It was quite challenging and fun to do.
I am a Year 8 student at Glen Innes School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 7 and my teacher is Mrs Tuakoi.

A Book Report About The Titanic
Titanic
Disaster at sea
This is a book that is based on a true story. The Titanic hit into an iceberg at 11:40 p.m. on the night of April 14, 1912 and sank two and a half hours later. 706 died and 1517 survived.
It took nearly 3 years to build the Titanic, beginning of March 31, 1909 in Belfast. Northern Ireland.
When it was completely built it was the biggest movable object ever made. It was 882 1/2 feet long, 92 1/2 feet wide, 175 feet high, and displaced 66,000 tons of water.
I enjoyed this story so much because it has a lot of facts. It had historical facts.

In this game I learned more about fractions. Next I would want to know more about Geometry.

Jump Rope
Jump Rope
Today we went down to the G.I center to Jump Rope for the Heart Foundation. It was cool fun. We left school at about 11:00 and got back at 12:30. Our transport was walking.
All the skipping items were exciting. Every class item was awesome but I liked Room 11's item the best. It was so interesting and I liked it because it had some funny, dry and they did boring tricks and styles. It was all mixed up, but was still cool.
Room 12's item was quite cool but tiring. Our item was split up into 3 groups and we did our own item with our own ideas. It was cool because we did something different to the other performances.
Today everything was awesome, exciting and boring. I hope we have a better routine next jump rope.

Reflection on our Basic Facts Assesment
My score was 666 in stage 7 Basic Facts Assessment Test - 2
I did well in division, square numbers, square roots, prime numbers, crocodile mouth symbols. Also half of highest common factors. I need to improve changing decimals to a fraction and a percentage, divisibility, my lowest common multiples and my highest common factors. I will practise more at home with my elder cousin. I’ll tell her to teach me everything I need help on. Also I will tell her to test me every once a week. I can go on the internet and go on sumdog and other sites that will help me on my learning. I hope I get 90% or higher. I will be very proud of myself if I achieve my goal I am aiming for.

Multiplication
Walt: Revise multiplication tables and the related division facts.
In this game you have to try and get the multiples of the number that’s on the right side in the game. This is a very good game because it helps you to learn your multiplication tables. It was a bit challenging because I sometimes forget my multiplication tables and hit into the wrong car.
Next I would like to learn algebra better.

Survey
WALT: Plan an investigation. Choose an appropriate data display.
Today we sampled 50 people at Glen Innes school. I sampled the senior side of the school. The 50 people had to choose “ What was their favourite shoe brand?” I chose this question because I like shoes.
Most of the boys liked Puma shoes better than any other shoe brand. The girls like Nike and Converse better than other shoe brand. This survey was challenging, but I still managed to finish.
Next time I would want to learn algebra.

Hawks
My hawk is special because it can fly and walk. If Megamind’s hungry he could dolphin dive under the water to catch a fish. Megamind is high qualified at fighting. He won all his fights and Megamind is big as a 90 inch tv.
Megamind can go higher than the clouds, he hangs around trees and in the forests, he is dangerous that’s why I bought him for 50 000 dollars. I looked at the price and thought it would be worth it.
My hawk breathes out fire and hurts everyone. If it eats seafood it fills up its fire tank. He burnt down the whole city and kept everyone in one big mansion. After he burnt the city he roasted everyone for his dinner. He said “Mmmm what a delicious dinner.”

Explanation Of A Dragon
Dragons that breathe out flaming acid or a magical potion that makes everyone burn into stone need to be stopped.
This is a fierce and spiky dragon. So everyone needs to stay clear from this beast. This dragon has been scaring people, killing people and burning their houses down. It kills everyone that gets into his way with his flaming acid.
The dragon has a slimy scaly body as hard as a rock, and has fierce evil eyes. It goes higher than the clouds and hits the ground at a high speed trying to break the ground into pieces.
The dragon has since been found by a soldier. There will be no harm or trouble coming to you because after one week the soldier managed to train the dragon and taught him not to kill anymore.
